Week 22

As I sit here and type, Peanut is doing his/her daily dance in my tummy. Sometimes I forget to sit up and give him/her some room, and boy do I get told if I dont! *smile* Yesterday at church, whenever we were singing, the baby did a little dance of joy. Perhaps it is because he/she is now able to hear sounds outside the womb. It's a cool sensation to get the constant reminders of a life growing inside you. But the more I feel it, the more anxious I am for week 40 to get here so I can hold and touch and interact with this miracle.

Pregnancy symptoms are pretty calm at this time. One thing I did experience that was not so pleasant was a cleaning from the dentist. Because the pregnancy hormones make your gums extra sensitive, it was pure torture to have her poking and prodding and scraping. But it's even more important than usual to keep your teeth healthy because they are more susceptible to cavities and such at this stage, so I'm glad it's done and over with.

I went to our public library and rented the following book and video. I'd recommend them for anyone who is pregnant. The pictures are breathtaking and it helps others, especially older siblings, to be involved and wonder along with you about the miracle taking place inside your body.
