This week Peanut goes on his/her first vacation, even if he/she doesn't realize it. We are going to Iowa, where I am from, for a visit. It is about an 11 hour drive, and usually we split the driving, but I am so tired it turns out that Csaba has to do most of it. I'm very thankful he's so understanding, and also thankful that my morning sickness seems to have subsided already. I was worried about getting car sick, but I did fine. We went camping and fishing, and someday we'll have some good stories to tell Peanut about "the one that got away".
Peanut's bones are hardening, his/her spine and rib cage have taken shape, teeth buds are forming. No wonder I'm so tired, all these changes take a lot of energy! The heart has been beating for a while, but is working harder than ever to draw blood and nutrients from the placenta. Peanut even has brain waves! I wonder what kind of student he/she will be when they grow up? Maybe Peanut will invent or discover something significant in his/her lifetime. I only hope that whatever God has blessed this child with that we as parents will be able to nurture it.
