The week we've been waiting for - our ultrasound! It was a great experience. The technician was very good and made sure we got the best views. We were disappointed to find out that the clinic had a policy to not reveal the sex of the baby. We really wanted to know. I guess in our area there are a lot of different cultures, some of which believe in sex-selection abortions. They are trying to make it harder for people to misuse the ultrasound for that purpose. I would rather they take a stand and wait to find out.
Peanut wanted to show his/her backside at first, which was fine for measurements, but then we had to try several things to get him/her to roll over and show us the best side. Once we got Peanut to face forward - what a show we got! Csaba and my 14 year old daughter were both allowed into the ultrasound room. They watched in amazement as Peanut rolled around, kicked, waved and all sorts of other cool movements. You could see the little heart beating in his/her chest. You could see Peanut's little mouth open and close as if to say, "Hi guys!" It made it more real to them to see the things I have been describing to them, the feelings of kicks and flutters.
I received four pictures out of all the ones that were taken. From what I've been told, that was very generous. I am grateful. We have been showing off our "baby pictures" to anyone who will see them. Already the proud parents. Now it's your turn! Click on the link below and you can see them for yourself!
