Week 18

The baby is really growing, Peanut is about 8.1 inches total length and I can tell that he/she is starting to get cramped. Especially when I'm laying on my side. Sleeping positions are getting harder to find, as is a full night's sleep without being woken up for at least one potty break. But all of that goes by the wayside everytime I feel a little flutter or a kick. The bones are continuing to harden. The pads of the fingers and toes are formed and Peanut is getting fingerprints!

We are anxious to go to our ultrasound this week. Csaba will be going with me. We are anticipating whether we'll be able to tell if it's a boy or girl, and whether there's one or two babies in there! The lab we are going to doesn't have video, which was disappointing, but they said we'll get still pictures. Hopefully they will be clear and we will have them on next week's page! Meanwhile, below is a sample ultrasound of a baby at 18 weeks.
