Csaba and Angie's Baby Story

Csaba (pronounced Chah' - bah) and I met online in April of 1999. It was love at first "byte"! He was originally from Romania but had moved with his family to Canada many years ago. I was from the United States, born and raised in a little town in Iowa called Muscatine.

When we started talking seriously, he told me that he loved kids and was anxious to start a family of his own. This broke my heart, because at this time I couldn't have any more children. I had been married previously and had two children, who at the time were just ready to turn 15 and 13. My marriage to their father was an abusive one, and I had my tubes tied after my youngest was born. I wanted more children too, but felt I owed it to him to be honest about our chances. I was sure he would move on, but he felt so strongly that God had led me to him that he just said, "Don't worry, we'll fix that."

We decided that the kids and I would join him in Canada. We were married in September of that year. It was miracle enough that we found each other, but God provided another when we went to the bank to get a consolidation loan. They agreed to loan us enough to pay for my tubal ligation reversal operation. We were elated! We figured we'd have to save for a few years for it. As it turns out, another thing in our favor was that the operation was considerably less than what it would have cost in the U.S.

In December of 1999, I went through a tubal reversal. We knew there were no guarantees, but we had to try. We had faith that God had brought us together for a reason and he would not let us down. And he didn't! In May of 2000, almost 5 months to the day of the operation, we found out we were pregnant! It was amazing to me that I would be able to experience this again, I never in my wildest dreams thought I would.

If you are trying to have a baby and are struggling with infertility of any kind, don't give up hope. There are a lot of resources on the net to help you, people to encourage you. Keep the faith!
