This week was full of highs and lows.
The low was getting the stomach flu. I've never thrown up so much my whole life. I was afraid that not being able to eat would hurt the baby, but my books all said that for a short time it would not, as long as I did not get too dehydrated. I called the doctor to see if I needed to go to the clinic or at least if there was something I could take. Luckily, I was able to take a medicine called Gravol, which is an over the counter anti-nausea medicine. It worked pretty good.
The high was going shopping with Csaba's mom and sister. They bought us all the odds and ends we hadn't picked up yet. We got a monitor, some more blankets and "onesies", bottles, bath stuff..... It was lots of fun. We kept looking at all the cute clothes, wishing we knew the sex so we could have picked out a wonderful coming home outfit. Hopefully next week on the ultrasound we will know. We're also hoping it might tell us a bit more about how big Peanut is so we can tell if I'm actually farther along than we thought. When he/she moves around, it's actually painful now. I can't imagine another month and a half of growing!
Below are pictures of a baby boy and girl. My ultrasound won't be as obvious as these probably because they are actual pictures. I hope Peanut is not shy - we've waited a long time for this!
